Patience Yields Charlize Theron at The Reaping Premiere

AnnaSophia Robb just bought her ensemble

Los Angeles, March 29, 2007 – Those with patience were rewarded at the premiere of Hilary Swank’s new thriller, The Reaping. The luminous Charlize Theron arrived very late to the screening, but still took time to greet gawking fans at the Mann Village Theater. Theron signed a few autographs, and the towering South African Oscar winner even stooped down for a hug from a starstruck little girl. 13-year-old AnnaSophia Robb, who costars in The Reaping, had that nothing-to-wear problem that plagues women of all ages. She'd bought her ensemble at the mall just an hour before hitting the red carpet, her mom said! We noticed that Swank, who last year exchanged her husband Chad Lowe for Hollywood agent John Campisi, also had a new publicist with her at the premiere.

Donald Trump Announces Hair-Shave Bet With WWE-Worthy Stunt

New York, March 28, 2007 – Donald Trump might shave his head! The Donald and World Wrestling Entertainment chairman Vince McMahon bet on opposing wrestlers at Sunday’s Wrestlemania 23 in Detroit, the loser to have his hair shaved completely off by the winner. Trump made the announcement at a press conference in his Trump Tower building in Manhattan, where the marble lobby was packed with boisterous wrestling fans.

The Apprentice star’s posturing fit in perfectly with the WWE style of staged conflict: "I'm taller than him. I'm better looking than him. I'm richer than him ... And I think I'm stronger than him”, Trump said of McMahon.

McMahon then rejected Trump’s proffered handshake, and grabbed him by the lapels instead. Trump promptly slapped McMahon’s face - the smack was audible throughout the room – and then watched passively as his security goon grabbed McMahon, and threw him.

Trump then walked out, his hair in place.

J. Lo & Marc Anthony greet fans in Bronx

New York, March 27-28, 2007 – Jennifer Lopez whirled through New York City for two days this week, making a flurry of appearances to promote her new album, Como Ama Una Mujer. The collection of ballads is the singer/actress’ first all-Spanish language recording. Husband Marc Anthony, who had a hand in producing and writing the album, was by her side constantly at each promotional stop; and he is quite a gentleman, always getting out of the car, and walking around to open the door for his lady.

Thanks to MTV’s new budget cuts, a full week of the show Total Request Live is now shot in only two days; some airs live, and some is taped. Thus, Tuesday morning turned into afternoon by the time J. Lo finally arrived to do a segment.

That evening, just up the street in Times Square, J. Lo inaugurated a brand new, not yet open entertainment venue called Spotlight Live with her CD release party. Scheduled for 8:30, Jennifer and Marc finally arrived after 10 P.M.; the (unconfirmed) rumor was that they were late because they’d stopped first for dinner at the Russian Tea Room.

While there was no announcement about the party, Times Square passersby noticed the media horde outside the club, and a crowd of curious tourists grew exponentially, and actually burst through the barricades once the superstar couple drove up. Onlookers completely filled Broadway, but J. Lo, dressed rather oddly in a sheer mesh shroud over skin-tight shiny pants and bikini top, seemed unfazed by the adulation, and waved and smiled for the cameras.

The next day, Marc again accompanied Jenny from the block to her hometown, The Bronx, where she signed CDs at a FYE store. The scene on Jerome Avenue was lively, with a radio station’s van blasting J. Lo’s music for fans lined up under the El tracks for a glimpse. This cheering, laughing crowd was much more controlled than the previous night’s chaotic surge in Times Square.

Jennifer Hudson, Hilary Duff Spice Up GLAAD Awards

New York, March 26, 2007 – Hilary Duff must have felt slighted at the GLAAD Media Awards on Monday – her breasts were on the verge of popping out of her dress the entire evening, and none of the men at the gay organization’s gala showed a glimmer of interest. However, Queer Eye Carson Kressley mentioned that he’d like to get his hands on handsome designer Tom Ford, and not for clothing advice. Tim Gunn said that having his show, Project Runway, honored by GLAAD was “very emotional”, and he also raved about the Bravo network for their progressive programming.

Last minute surprise guest Jennifer Hudson received a standing ovation when she appeared to present Patti LaBelle with an award, and the two sang together at the audience’s insistence.

Cynthia Nixon, Rosie O’Donnell, Whoopi Goldberg, director John Waters and Julianne Moore were also at the ceremony.
