New York, June 1 – Renee Zellweger looked great at the Cinderella Man premiere in New York, but, once again, she left out that major accessory, new husband Kenny Chesney. We keep telling Renee she’d look fabulous with a cowboy, or at least a singer wearing a cowboy hat, but she won’t listen. Paul Giamatti told us how he struggles with his job; “There’s nothing hard about acting. You just have to remember your lines.” Craig Bierko can go for a diplomatic career if the acting thing doesn’t work out; he said working with the notoriously difficult Russell Crowe was “an absolute joy”. Then, “It wasn’t easy. It was very hard work and he’s very demanding. It’s not necessarily fun. It’s hard work.” Topher Grace, Anne Hathaway and Lords of Dogtown hottie Emile Hirsch were among those who came to check out the boxing flick.

Los Angeles, June 27 – At the Los Angeles premiere of their Romance, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes roared up together on a motorcycle, and drove the bike right down the red carpet. In case anyone missed it, they turned around and rode down the carpet a second time, this time stopping every ten feet so that photographers could capture this for posterity. This performance ended when the bike conked out directly in front of Open All Night’s photographer, and Tom said, “Oh, I stalled it”, and got off the cycle for good.

Mercifully, riding the bike on the red carpet prevented Tom from doing his exuberant interviews. It did not, however, stop him from signing autographs for an hour. It also did not stop Katie Holmes from standing behind him the entire time, grinning.

As Katie and everyone else knows, when Tom Cruise sees something he likes, he just grabs it. He doesn’t care what anyone thinks. Tom saw Will Smith, and seemed to like him. Katie even kept the smile pasted on her face during Tom and Will's gropefest.

Los Angeles, June 25 – George Clooney is single again, and we had a date with him on Saturday night! Well, it was kind of a group date, with Don Cheadle, Virginia Madsen and Sam Rockwell. (So George wanted us to meet his old friends!) And there we were, with George, when he received an award from the Los Angeles Film Festival. We know he’s going to take us to meet his dad soon! Better yet, maybe he’ll cast us in one of his indie flicks, like Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. One day in the future, we’ll bring George when we receive the Spirit of Independence award.

New York, June 23- 26 – Just like big box retailers, evangelists are discovering the urban market. Yes, in big cities there are many souls needing salve, and the big guns descended on New York City this weekend.

Tom Cruise, Scientology poster boy, kicked off the weekend on Thursday with an appearance on Letterman, followed by a big red carpet crusade that evening, where he paraded around one of his most recent converts, actress Katie Holmes, who has seen the light. Early the next morning, Tom defended his beliefs on television, clashing with Matt Lauer on the Today show.

But famous as Tom Cruise may be, many, many more people packed into Flushing Meadows to hear the Reverend Billy Graham over the weekend. Meanwhile, The Rev. Sun Myung Moon and other leaders rallied at the Javits Center on Saturday, calling for a “peace bridge” to be built across the Bering Strait to connect the U.S. and Russia.

Our hearts stood still momentarily when, at the Moon rally, a spokesman told the several thousand attendees to open the bags they were handed when they entered, take out the “holy juice” inside, and to drink it. Virtually all of the people in the room took out the orange-colored liquid and drank, as commanded.

Surprisingly, none of these religious leaders attempted to save souls at New York's gay pride parade on Sunday.

Los Angeles, June 26 – We hear that Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher stopped by the Fairmont Hotel in Santa Monica on Sunday afternoon and they were very, very interested in all of the information exhibited on how to “environmentally baby proof” your home. Very interested. Gwyneth Paltrow, who was scheduled to host the Environmental Media Association event, wasn’t there; she may have gotten stuck in the mud at the Glastonbury Festival over in the U.K., where she was the previous day.

But Ashton and Demi did show up, and they checked out baby products like cribs and blankets. The event’s gift bags were diaper bags. Maybe they just needed a gift, but a source at the event told us that Demi’s waistline may be “growing” a bit too large to fit into the Versace dresses she wore in the upcoming ad campaign shot by Mario Testino.

New York, June 23 – You know you’ve always wanted to get into Beyonce’s skirt, and now you can. And you won’t even have to defend yourself against Jay-Z! You might have to cough up some green though – the diva has put some of her most-photographed dresses - ones you may have seen her wearing at the Oscars and Grammys - up for auction on eBay to benefit VH1’s Save the Music Foundation. You can wear one of the dresses when you have lunch with Beyonce and her mom, Tina Knowles, or when you accompany her to the Pink Panther premiere. Those glamour dates are also up for auction.

This all came to light Thursday night when Beyonce’s new clothing line, House of Dereon, threw a party to announce the auction and exhibition at New York’s Museum of Television and Radio. We don’t know what spooked P. Diddy, but he stayed at the party for only about 30 seconds, and abruptly left. He wasn’t planning on leaving, because he had to chase his car down the block. But Destiny’s Child mates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, designer Patricia Field and America’s Top Model winner Eva Pigford all stayed for awhile.
