New York, April 15, 2009 – Josh Hartnett has no plans to do more modeling after his stint as the face of Emporio Armani Diamonds for men. “That was just a one-off,” Hartnett told us at the Friends of New Yorkers for Children spring dinner dance. “I’ve known Mr. Armani for a long time; he started giving me suits to wear when nobody knew who I was. And he’s always been very kind to me, so when they came and asked me to do that, he’s the only person I would have done it for.” the Black Dahlia star said. The modeling gig was fun, he says, but “It’s weird selling things.” Another actor at the gala, Robert Buckley of recently canceled series Lipstick Jungle, is moving back to L.A. to work on a new show, Privileged, in which he plays a magazine editor. “So there’ll be a lot more shirt-on scenes for me this season, as opposed to last season on Lipstick,” Buckley quipped. Also spotted at the Mandarin Oriental were Selita Ebanks, Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson, Zac Posen, Olivia Palermo, Rachel Zoe, Geraldo Rivera, director McG and Emmy Rossum. Tennis ace Serena Williams and rapper Common arrived together, but coyly avoided being photographed together. Photos: Luisa Johns/PKI |
