New York, September 5, 2008 - OAN was lucky enough to attend the taping of Fashion Rocks, the mega concert that airs Tuesday, Sept. 9 on CBS. 

What we loved:

Denis Leary’s potshots at David Duchovny, Britney Spears and Ricky Martin – example: “Why’d Ricky Martin use a surrogate to have his twin babies?  Because babies don’t come out of men’s asses.”  (Can they say that on CBS?)   Beyonce in a short blonde wig singing Etta James while Etta James is in the front row.  Denis Leary in a shiny floor-length evening gown.  15-year-old Taylor Momsen looking a bit creepy on the arm of much older (and shorter) fashion designer Max Azria.  Chris Brown’s acrobatic performance, including tampolines.  Justin Timberlake channeling Marvin Gaye in an odd, Jersey Boy-style falsetto.  Tyra Banks very enthusiastic about Timbaland.  Mariah Carey had the show’s most elaborate set.  The entire audience on their feet and singing along when Kid Rock and Lynyrd Skynyrd sang “Sweet Home Alabama.”  And truly, seeing eleven women, including Beyonce, Mariah, Mary J. Blige, Miley Cyrus and Rihanna, singing the song “Just Stand Up” together live onstage was a once-in-a-lifetime, goose-bump-inducing experience.  Awesome.
