New York, August 13, 2008 – The Jonas Brothers took over Central Park South today, shooting scenes from their upcoming 3-D concert movie.  Security measures didn’t stop hordes of fans from descending on the set, at the pond across from the Plaza. 

There were many extras in the scene, mainly teenage couples, but the fans were mostly younger.  It seemed that some extras brought along their friends – just to gawk at the Jonas boys.  Even funnier, police officers working to control the crowds brought their own kids to watch!  Nick, Kevin and Joe Jonas were all pretty laidback and nice to the fans, shaking hands and signing autographs; they didn’t get annoyed at all – even though they did many, many takes of the same song, over and over outside in the hot sun. 

Country sensation Taylor Swift hung around the set, apparently waiting for her scene, which did not materialize – until the next day.  (We have another report coming on Thursday’s shoot!)  At one point, Taylor went into the Jonas Brothers’ tent, causing tittering among some on the set.  She was just trying to get out of the blazing sun, people! 

For some reason, Taylor Swift’s reps tried to block her from being photographed – unsuccessfully, see our shot at left.  However there were eager paparazzi; one who snuck through a flowerbed of rare plants was held by the police and issued a summons.
