New York, August 7, 2008 – Jay-Z’s other vehicle is a bicycle.  Yes, the hip hop king who drives around in a $300,000+ Maybach sedan also claims that he rides a bicycle around New York City all the time.  “I ride all throughout the city”, he said at a press conference on Thursday where Mayor Michael Bloomberg discussed his program to open certain city streets for recreation by banning motor vehicles.  Jay-Z wouldn’t reveal where he likes to ride so as not to tip off the paparazzi.  “I started to ride a bike when I was 4-years-old, one of my proudest moments”, the man who married Beyonce said.  “I’ll continue to ride throughout the city", the rapper added.

In one of his songs, Jay-Z refers to his mom teaching him to ride - and Mayor Bloomberg shocked everyone by calling out the name of the song.
