New York, August 6, 2008 – Something was missing at the New York screening of Vicky Christina Barcelona – director Woody Allen. The quintessential New Yorker has been promoting the movie out in Hollywood, but Allen’s stars Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem and Patricia Clarkson talked about him at the screening. Bardem told us it’s a great pleasure to work with Allen “because those dialogues are like diamonds for any actor.” Producer Harvey Weinstein said Allen is “prolific, and he’s interested in a lot of things.” Clarkson said that Woody Allen drew huge crowds to the set while shooting in Barcelona. “It was staggering. It was like being at a rock concert every day we shot” she said. Cruz again today emphatically refused to say another word about her steamy sex scenes with Bardem and Scarlett Johansson, but added that she loves the movie. “I’m very happy to be part of a Woody Allen film”, she told us. |
