On the Campaign Trail with Clinton & Obama in PA

Wilkes-Barre, PA, April 1, 2008 – April Fool’s Day brought us to Wilkes-Barre, PA where Democratic presidential hopefuls Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama campaigned within a few blocks of one another.   After we’d heard Obama speak at Wilkes University, we dashed over to King’s College, where Clinton staffers asked us who had the bigger crowd.  Hillary definitely drew a bigger, more heavily female crowd of supporters in this town.

At Hillary’s campaign stop, we encountered a marching band playing rock classics like Iron Butterfly’s In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida.  That’s nothing, one staffer told us; ealrlier, a rock band played 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover.
