New York, March 5, 2008 – Patricia Clarkson is a longtime New Yorker, but she’s still in touch with her New Orleans roots.  “I make jambalaya and praline parfait”, she told us at the Cinema Society screening of her new film, Married Life.  She says her mother, New Orleans councilwoman Jackie Clarkson, is an amazing cook. And there she was, beaming - proud mom Jackie came up north for the premiere.  Co-star Rachel McAdams made a quick appearance at the theater, and then caught a train back to Washington D.C., where she’s shooting a film.  We’d never before met Oscar-winning actor Chris Cooper, and he turned out to be affable and approachable, and chatted with us for quite a while at the after party, which was hosted by fashion designer Nicole Miller.  Pierce Brosnan also stars in Married Life, but couldn’t make it; he’s in South Africa working on a film.
