New York, February 5-8, 2008 – New York Fashion Week raged on, and celebrities continued to fill front rows, even after the A-list jackpot that was the Gucci party hosted by Madonna.  G-Star’s show at Gotham Hall was so much fun, with champagne flowing at a pre-show cocktail party where Heather Graham, Lipstick Jungle heartthrob Robert Buckley, and the blindingly gorgeous couple Rebecca Gayheart and Eric Dane mingled happily.  Duran Duran’s Nick Rhodes and Simon Le Bon looked smashing in sleek suits.  G-Star, we asked?  “Christian Dior”, Rhodes replied, and we all laughed.  The show was a huge production, with loud rock music, models moving on a conveyor belt, and a surprise at the end: Dennis Hopper walked the runway, and recited a poem!

Other late week highlights included Friday morning’s Project Runway finale, with guest judge Victoria Beckham joining Heidi Klum, Michael Kors and Nina GarciaTommy Hilfiger drew Maggie Gyllenhaal, Julianne Moore, Kelly Rowland, Nicky Hilton and Pharrell Williams to Lincoln Center, where he showed his line.

Some stores threw fashion-related events this week.  Umbrella singer Rihanna was at Macy’s to introduce her new line of – you guessed it – umbrellas, with Totes.  Victoria’s Secret beauty Karolina Kurkova signed autographs at the Herald Square branch in a Valentine’s Day promotion.  And Fergie celebrated her MAC Viva Glam affiliation by presenting a donation to 7th on Sale.
