Los
Angeles, January 19, 2008 – John Travolta is
not Australian, but as an ambassador for
Qantas Airlines, the movie star has close ties to the country, and is
a staple of
the annual G’Day USA events. This year, Travolta
presented songtstress Kylie Minogue with an award at
the G’Day USA black tie gala on Saturday. Organizers
asked the press not to intimidate Bindi Irwin with catcalls
and yelling, but as usual,
the 9-year-old TV sensation was a total ham, although her mom Terri
Irwin seemed a bit nervous. Olivia
Newton-John brought an unidentified date, so perhaps she’s
getting over her boyfriend who vanished at
sea. Natalie
Imbruglia was a no-show at the gala, reportedly stuck in traffic. Yanks Harrison
Ford and Calista Flockhart and Lisa
Rinna and Harry Hamlin helped the Aussies
celebrate. |
