Los Angeles, January
16, 2008 – Impossible, we
thought, when we saw the guest list for the premiere of Cloverfield, JJ
Abrams’ new disaster flick. Why would a bunch of
Hollywood celebrities come to the Paramount Pictures lot on a cold night
for this movie, cast with no-names? But then Lindsay
Lohan arrived early for her first post-rehab red carpet appearance,
and wouldn’t stop posing for the cameras. Soon, Pete
Wentz and Ashlee Simpson snuggled and cooed
endlessly for the flashbulbs, followed by a random parade of celebs including Masi
Oka, Frankie Muniz, Isaiah Washington, Michelle
Trachtenberg and virtually the entire cast of The Hills,
who should be busy, since as a “reality” show, they’re
still working. Why the big turnout for a small, not-very-glamorous
movie premiere? It seems that out-of-work Hollywood is bored, and
missing the attention: Kristin Cavallari walked the Cloverfield red
carpet, changed into a different dress and went off to her birthday party
at Stone Rose, where she posed again. |
