New York, November 14, 2007 – Awake is a delightful holiday movie about a patient whose failed anesthesia leaves him fully conscious during surgery.  Bring the kids!  At the film’s New York premiere on Wednesday, Weinstein company staffers donned white hospital-style lab coats on the red carpet, complete with stethoscopes in the breast pockets.  There was a distinct couples theme at the Chelsea West Cinemas screening.  We spied Jessica Alba’s beau Cash Warren trying to stay out of the limelight, and Rachel Bilson supported her apparent paramour Hayden Christensen.  Lena Olin’s director husband Lasse Hallstrom came along, even though he didn’t helm the picture.  The New York Observer sponsored the evening, and owner Jared Kushner had to do solo hosting duties, as his lady, the lovely Ivanka Trump, didn’t make it to the premiere.
