New
York, October 4, 2007 – It was all about who wasn’t
there at the New York Film Festival premiere of I’m Not There,
the Bob Dylan biopic. Sure, Cate Blanchett,
who is one of six actors that depict the folk music legend, joined director
Todd Haynes for the screening. And Richard
Gere,
another Dylan, showed and schmoozed with everyone, even personally greeting
members of the press, which elicited comments like, “What, does
he think he’s the Dalai Lama?” But
still, we were kind of hoping for a surprise visit from, you know, Bob
Dylan. And
while Michelle Williams looked adorable
in her pixie haircut, it was hard not to notice that her recently-dumped
man Heath Ledger, who plays one version of Dylan, was
not there. It was probably his night to watch their daughter Matilda. |
