New York, September 6, 2007 – Conde Nast’s fourth annual Fashion Rocks concert was on Thursday evening, and those of us at Radio City Music Hall in New York could barely keep track of the seemingly endless parade of stars making their way down the red carpet. While chatting with Mary J. Blige and Ludacris, we spied Jennifer Lopez and Teri Hatcher heading into the theater. Dior-clad Maroon 5 hottie Adam Levine was telling us whose music he’s been listening to lately, and then he said, “I guess I should also say Avril Lavigne”, as he glanced at the pint-sized rocker who had just passed us. Gwen Stefani is considered the most stylish rocker among those we asked - LeAnn Rimes and Veronica Webb were two who mentioned Gwen first. 50 Cent was typically humble when we asked him: “Who has great style? 50 Cent! You kiddin’ me? 50 Cent is fabulous”, the rapper said. Martina McBride likes Steven Tyler’s style. “He always looks like a rock star no matter what”, she said. The Aerosmith frontman didn’t disappoint at Fashion Rocks, wearing a leopard-print jacket and zebra-print pants by Roberto Cavalli. His band mate Joe Perry had a Tara Reid moment on the red carpet, opening his shirt and flashing his breasts. Nicole Richie was a surprise guest at the concert, and maybe her voluminous Cavalli gown hid her belly, but you really could not tell that she is pregnant. |
