Los Angeles, August 1, 2007 – Apparently, working around all the marijuana on the comedy Weeds has given Mary-Kate Olsen the giggles and the munchies. At the series’ season premiere on Wednesday, the usually uptight, sour-faced and weight-challenged billionaire was laughing and even sporting a few curves. Merely a coincidence, surely. The pint-sized superstar was also laid back enough (and professional enough) to arrive early at the ArcLight screening, leaving the limelight to Weeds star Mary-Louise Parker. Showtime took the opportunity to introduce its new series, called Californication, along with the Weeds season opener. This one, which will air immediately after Weeds on Mondays, stars David Duchovny, who, unlike Olsen, still remains unable to smile. “Aren’t you happy to be here”, people asked him at the premiere? “Yes”, he replied, frowning. We don’t know yet if Californication will be a hit, but it sounds good - the plot keywords on imdb.com are “Female Nudiy/Sex”. |
