New York, August 6, 2007 – Paper magazine hosted a dinner on Monday to celebrate their August cover girl Rihanna, who was in a great mood despite wearing a cast on her injured foot. Perhaps the pop star will follow up her hit song Umbrella with a ditty about crutches.

Mischa Barton was a surprise guest at the dinner, at D’OR at Amalia Restaurant in midtown Manhattan.

Another surprise was when Marc Jacobs arrived and jumped out of a taxi and ran over to his on again/off again boyfriend Jason Preston, and happily kissed him. While the newly svelte and sober fashion designer said in the September issue of Out magazine that he is "not currently dating”, a source at the Paper party told us that former rent boy Preston claims that the two are back on again.

Preston must find it hard to forget Marc Jacobs with his name tattoed on his arm.

Update: In case no one at the Paper party was listening, Preston sent Gawker.com a press release! How romantic.
