New York, August 8, 2007 – Access Hollywood correspondent Maria Menounos arrived early at Sushi Samba restaurant on Wednesday, leaving her plenty of time to prepare to interview actress Amanda Bynes on the launch of her clothing line, Dear. But Menounos got waylaid by passersby on the sidewalk. It wasn’t paparazzi or autograph seekers, but dogs that got the TV personality to stop, as droves of Greenwich Village neighbors took their pets for after-work walks. The dog-lover Menounos couldn’t resist the four-legged cuties passing by, and within moments was introducing Ingrid the malamute to Muffin the poodle, before dashing over to cuddle a boxer. Finally, Maria remembered her work and dragged herself into the party. Meanwhile, we’d been baffled as to how Amanda Bynes became a fashion designer, and apparently so was she. "They wanted me to design for 30 years down, for their young girls", the Hairspray star said. "So I was like, ‘How did you even think of me?’ I couldn’t even believe that they even thought of me! With all of the other talented people out there,” she added. The line will be sold at Steve and Barry’s stores, the same folks who brought us Sarah Jessica Parker’s clothing line. |
