New York, August 13, 2007 – The invitation to Monday’s special
screening of The Nanny Diaries was very last minute, but we managed
to dash over to the Cinemas 123 in midtown Manhattan just in time. While
Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans couldn’t
make it to the screening, co-stars Laura Linney, Alicia
Keys and Donna Murphy held court. Keys seemed
to feel a bit self-conscious in her bold print Roberto Cavalli dress –
she was very deliberate about the way she posed for cameras, and told
photographers, “You have to have the right angle”. The Grammy
winner was humble about her “small” role in The Nanny
Diaries, but back while the movie was in production, Johansson praised
Keys’ acting ability, and told
us, “She’s incredibly talented; a better improv actor than
I will ever be, that’s for sure.” Keys shouldn’t have
much trouble finding suitable roles – she’s got the attention
of Harvey Weinstein, who brought her with him to the
screening.
