New York, July 30, 2007 – Does Ella Bleu Travolta, 7-year-old daughter of actors John Travolta and Kelly Preston, really need a summer job? Probably not, considering that her old man is rich enough to own a fleet of private jets. But the job Ella got has to be one of the best summer jobs ever, hands down. She’s appearing in a movie called Old Dogs along with mom and dad, and spent Monday afternoon cavorting in an amusement park, riding the rides and sliding down the big slide – all for work!

Well, mostly for work; some of the afternoon’s adventures seemed to be purely for fun. We’re not sure they were even filming when Ella and Kelly rode on the train ride (in blue car at left) – no cameras were rolling, and nobody yelled “Cut!” while mother and daughter had a ball.

John Travolta was not on the set that day, but costar Robin Williams was, and he also took spins with Ella on amusement rides like the AeroMax and the big slide.

The film set was in New York’s Central Park, where the open-air Wollman ice skating rink turns into a Victorian Gardens amusement park during the summer. It's open to the public.
