New York, July 19, 2007 - “I think if you like law, and you like murder mysteries you’ll like this show. It’s a really fascinating combination of the two”, Glenn Close said cryptically at the premiere of her new FX series Damages, which debuts on July 24. Costar Ted Danson put it more succinctly: “I’m Enron. She’s the litigator from hell, and she’s gonna take me down”, he said. Rose Byrne plays Close’s associate, and is somehow at the center of the mystery. Acknowledging that she was bludgeoned to death in the horror flick 28 Weeks Later, the Aussie said, “Yes, I’m always covered with blood whatever I’m doing.” Close burst out laughing when we asked if she’d make a good lawyer, and said, “No! I don’t have a good mind for documents.” As an actress, she gets to bring her dogs Bill and Jake to the Damages set with her every day. Debra Messing joined the cast at the Regal Theater in Times Square for the premiere on Thursday; her husband, Daniel Zelman, is an executive producer of the show. |
