Donald Trump presents his chair at Staples in Manhattan
You can get a chair like Donald Trump's, but money cannot buy a hairdo like his

New York, July 10, 2007 – Known for his, er, “taste” in everything from hair styles to glitzy overpriced condos to profit-challenged gambling casinos, Donald Trump is now trying his hand at furniture design. The reality-show star launched a line of office chairs called “Trump Office” to be sold at office supply chain Staples. The Donald is betting that you’ll pay a premium to have his name under your rump – with retail prices starting at $350, the chairs are the most expensive that Staples has ever carried.

Hopefully, the line will expand, so that at some point you will be able sit in your Trump chair behind a Trump desk and, while doodling on a Trump tablet with your Trump pen, glance at your Trump watch which is hidden under the sleeve of your Tump suit jacket, and yell “You’re fired!” at some hapless employee. Of course, this will all take place within a Trump office building.

While introducing the line at a Staples store at 81st and Broadway in Manhattan on Tuesday, Trump was typically classy, telling journalists that the chairs are not strong enough to hold Rosie O’Donnell, the comedian with whom Donald has a running feud.
