Los Angeles, May 12, 2007 – This year’s Wango Tango concert had a decidedly G-rated tone – well, there were no expletive-laden t-shirts, although there were lyrics from rappers Pitbull and Ludacris, and some crotch-grabbing by Gym Class Heroes and Fergie.

Latin heartthrob Enrique Iglesias did his usual schtick, calling a woman up on the stage for a kiss during his song Hero. But when the girl told him she was only 16 years old, he asked for her mother’s permission first! Then, just to avoid Akon-style controversy, Iglesias kissed her chastely on the forehead instead of on the lips. Nevertheless, Enrique’s set got everyone moving, including him – he leapt off the speakers at one point.

The fans packing Irvine’s Verizon Wireless Amphitheater loved Kelly Clarkson’s powerful belting, and they gave a nice reception to the much less well known American Idol alum Elliott Yamin.
