Los Angeles, May 3, 2007 – Boy, those L.A. people are really body conscious. “She’s huge”, we overheard somebody whisper when Naomi Watts showed up at Escada’s opening party in Beverly Hills on Thursday. “She only had a bump when she was out here in February for the Oscars”, the skinny party patron added. Watts is now seven months pregnant, and she’s glowing.

The Escada boutique is not really new, but has been reborn after an extensive renovation. Hilary Swank hosted, and Maria Bello, Sophia Bush, Angela Bassett, Amerie, Jewel, Ugly Betty’s Ana Ortiz and other Hollywood women all wore Escada designs. In fact, when E! correspondent Samantha Harris tried to tape an intro, she was ordered off the red carpet – a rep for the fashion house told her that only they only wanted people wearing Escada on the carpet. Harris agreed to come back later to tape the lead-in.
