Los Angeles, April 14, 2007 – Reality television personality Reichen Lehmkuhl and his current boyfriend were kissing and generally publicly displaying their affection at the GLAAD Media Awards in L.A. on Saturday when a staffer discreetly mentioned that Reichen’s ex, Lance Bass, was already on the red carpet. Lehmkuhl asked about the logistics – how far ahead was Bass, and would he dally on the red carpet by giving interviews. The rep pointed Bass out, and indeed, he was talking to the press. Reichen wasn’t giving up time in front of the cameras - “We’ll go slowly”, he declared, and continued cuddling with the unidentified hunk. But really big stars outnumbered the reality show contestants and former boy banders at the GLAAD Awards. Jennifer Aniston received an award for her work in promoting gay rights (but seriously, wasn’t it really for her girl-on-girl smooch with best buddy Courteney Cox on Dirt?) Brokeback Mountain star Jake Gyllenhaal made a surprise appearance to present Aniston with the trophy. Three hit television shows – Grey’s Anatomy, Ugly Betty and Brothers & Sisters – all took awards, and members of their casts turned up in droves at the Kodak Theater for the GLAAD gala. Ugly Betty star America Ferrera was reportedly ill, and had to skip the fesitivities. |
