New York, March 3, 2007 – The Scissor Sisters came home to New York with a big ol' bang Saturday night at The Theater at Madison Square Garden. With much of their time in the last few years spent successfully touring in the UK and abroad, the Sisters haven't forgotten how to treat a hometown crowd right. Once the curtains went up, Jake Shears, Ana Matronic, Babydaddy, Del Marquis, and Paddy Boom burst onto the stage where they played for nearly ninety minutes. Jake Shears was especially energetic, leaping from one edge of the stage to the other – and it's no wonder for a fella who told the audience recently at a London concert that he had no use for Mr. Ease Anal Spray, because he's already "eased". Ana expressed her irritation over the closing of CBGB and The Roxy, which she sees as robbing New York of its character. "It's s--t like this," she said, "that makes me want to shave my head and attack a cab with an umbrella." Our advice to Ana is to keep that wig on, sister, and try some Mr. Ease! - Damien Neva |
