New York, February 7, 2007 – Coca Cola realized that though things may go better with Coke, everything looks better in a designer outfit. Thus, the company chose Fashion Week to unveil their new Rocawear-designed Cherry Coke cans at an enormous party hosted by Jay-Z. Not satisfied with just fancy cans, the company also had five edgy artists “interpret” the brand’s graphics in the mediums of sculpture, painting, photography, animation and digital illustration. The party was in a vast West Chelsea loft space that, with all this design stuff on our minds, we kept mentally rearranging as our own living quarters. Jay-Z held court on a white sofa in a makeshift VIP area, and received guests potentate-style. We saw Diddy, Cuba Gooding, Jr., Wyclef Jean and Nick Cannon pay their respects.
