New York, January 11, 2007 – “I’m the princess”, Madonna declared on Thursday at the Tribeca Cinemas in Manhattan. But this wasn’t more of Madge’s put-on British airs; she is the voice of Princess Selenia in the new animated feature Arthur and the Invisibles, and the pop icon came to the tiny theater especially to greet 100 lucky New York City schoolchildren at a screening of the film.

Madonna gave the kids a pep talk, and encouraged them to believe in themselves to make their dreams come true. The kids had only learned the previous day that they’d be meeting the material mom, and they were surprised, Robin Hood Foundation’s David Saltzman told us. “They were…uh, their jaws dropped", he said.
