New York, December 15, 2006 – We learned a lot chatting with the bands backstage at Madison Square Garden during Z100’s Jingle Ball on Friday, like who’s going on tour or releasing a new single. And although we didn’t get to talk to Nick Lachey, who avoided reporters completely all evening, we got the scoop from some reliable whispering birdies in the H&M gift lounge. At the display for HairDo, a line of clip-in hair extensions by his ex-wife Jessica Simpson, Nick declared, “There will be no photos with that product!” Then, looking at the package illustration of Jessica, her dog, Daisy, and hair guru, Ken Paves, Nick quipped, “I like the dog.” Nick reportedly charmed everyone, and should you charm his pants off, you’ll find 2(x)ist Boxer Briefs. The sexy underwear makers told us that they’d sponsored Nick’s tour, and that he had them on that day – he flashed his waistband – so, armed with too much information, we asked the big boxers vs. briefs question. JoJo, who turns 16 in a few days, will head to Europe in January to promote her record, and she told us she plans to take in some soccer games. She’s a Chelsea fan. Brooke Hogan, whose next single will feature Jamaican rapper Beanie Man, has trouble finding nice shoes for her size 12 feet. “It’s funny, Paris Hilton – I was with her the other day – and she’s like, ‘You have big feet just like me,’” Brooke said. The Pussycat Dolls are thrilled about their Grammy nomination; “It’s unbelievable. It’s a dream come true for us”, they said. We met Jon Bon Jovi roaming around backstage, but he was just there to see the show, with his kids. Evanescensce, Nelly Furtado, The Killers, Rihanna, The Fray and Mexican sensation RBD all rocked the Garden.
