Los Angeles, November 29, 2006 – Not only did Lindsay Lohan throw a tantrum once she was at GQ’s Men of the Year awards on Wednesday, first, she arrived so late that she royally ticked off the dinner’s organizers. Since the Sunset Tower Hotel is a public venue, GQ announced that the red carpet would be cleared and removed by 8 P.M., so the area could be reopened to hotel guests. Lohan didn’t arrive until 9, and angry publicists waited for her, keeping the whole setup intact, inconveniencing the hotel visitors and staff. Lindsay wasn’t embarrassed, but Leonardo DiCaprio must have been, because he snuck in through a side door. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner drove up together in the same car, spent two full minutes in intense discussion with their publicist, and then each walked separately down the red carpet. Photographers asked them to pose together, and Affleck retorted, “Why? So we can pay your rent for this month?” Someone cheerfully shot back, “OK then, we’ll follow you to Starbucks, just like the paparazzi!” Steve O had a girlfriend with him, whose name we didn’t catch, but we like her - she seems to be turning him into a gentleman; he didn’t even open his pants and pee on the red carpet. He should be Man of the Year. |
