New York, November 14, 2006 – Halle Berry was hanging out on St. Marks Place last night, but she wasn’t there for a tattoo. The Oscar winner stopped by an exclusive tasting party hosted by Hennessy, and it wasn’t only cognac that brought the beauty to Manhattan’s East Village. Her boyfriend, model Gabriel Aubry, is an owner of the month-old Cuban restaurant Café Fuego, where the intimate party was held. The impossibly gorgeous pair sipped Hennessy cocktails, nibbled the Cuban-style snacks and shook their hips to the live band (loudly) playing Cuban music. We hear that Aubry decorated the cafe almost entirely from eBay – he found the bar, the fireplace and leather chairs on the online auction site. The Canadian-born hunk said that he loves Cuban food, and gathered ideas from Cuban restaurants around the world for his own place, which he thinks has a cozy, inviting ambience. “It’s very similar to my house, so it’s very warm”, Aubry said, although, unfortunately, you won’t find him lounging in a bathrobe on the couch like you would at his house. What you won’t find at his house is Halle Berry cooking. “I don’t cook. Thank god I’m dating a guy that’s a very good cook”, she said. |
