New York, October 13, 2006 – Marie Antoinette and entourage came to the New York Film Festival, but we misplaced our guillotine, so their heads remained attached and we were forced to listen to them talk. “The French are real lovers of film, so it was the most supportive group of filmmakers I’ve ever worked with”, Kirsten Dunst said of working in Paris. The French are also real lovers – just ask director Sofia Coppola, who got knocked up by one. Even six-ish months pregnant, Coppola looked chic in a Chloe dress. Baby daddy, rocker Thomas Mars, was nowhere in sight at the screening. It didn't take much for Jamie Dornan to look chic; he’s a model, after all. (Funny how the handsome Northern Irishman got his first movie role after breaking up with Keira Knightley.) Even if the French Revolution doesn’t interest you, this movie is probably worth seeing – Dornan told us that his costume included pointy hats, wigs and…tights. |
