Los Angeles October 22, 2006 – When neighbors in a town like Malibu organize a protest, people come out, even absurdly early on a Sunday morning. Pierce Brosnan, Cindy Crawford, Tea Leoni, Jane Seymour, Daryl Hannah and Ted Danson all said NIMBY (not in my backyard) to a floating terminal for unloading natural gas proposed for off the coast. Biggest surprise was Dick Van Dyke, still spry at 80. Brosnan asked photographer Bill Jones, who built his career photographing black entertainers in Hollywood, why he wasn’t snapping pictures. Jones replied that he’d take photos when Halle Berry arrived! Halle did lend her support, and she and boyfriend Gabriel Aubry both looked unfairly gorgeous, even dressed down at the beach and at such an early hour. Paparazzi surrounded the handsome couple on the boardwalk, and Berry’s security guards got a little nervous, but everyone behaved. |
