Los Angeles, September 12, 2006 – Gold Rush is not the
story of Tori Spelling’s family. Rather, it’s
a new online “reality” series in which contestants search
for gold hidden across America. It’s brought to us courtesy of AOL
and reality king Mark Burnett, the genius who brought
us classy entertainment like Survivor. And the series’
launch party reeked of restraint and good taste with low-key guests like
Kristin Cavallari, Sofia Milos and queen
of the D-List Kathy Griffin. Ms. Spelling was there,
along with newish husband Dean McDermott, and, in keeping
with the whole high-toned atmosphere of the evening, we discreetly wonder
if her loose dress was chosen to give some room to a bun in the oven.
