New York, September 5, 2006 – Guess, that punctuation-challenged clothing brand famous for sexy ads, celebrated 25 years of tight (and sometimes baggy) pants with a bash at Manhattan club Capitale. Entertainment was strictly British, with live performances from Natasha Bedingfield and Scottish songstress K.T. Tunstall.

Starlet Kristin Cavallari and DJ AM are either very funny, or they’re a new couple. The pair arrived together, and the irony was not lost on us that their ex-paramours – Brody Jenner and Nicole Richie – are now dating. We contemplated this for a while, but became so distracted by Cavallari’s evening-long battle to keep her strapless Guess dress upright that we forgot all about it. (AM and Cavallari looked cute together, but seriously, is she skinny enough for him?)

The big surprise guest was Nelly Furtado, who showed up unannounced, and snarled Chinatown traffic when she stopped to chat with fans on her way in, before hitting the rain-soaked, slushy black carpet. It turns out Furtado is a fan of Bedingfield, and she danced – surrounded by security guards - during the concert.
