Our big screen test: Ridley Scott takes our picture

New York, August 2, 2006 – There didn’t seem to be any loose telephones around the Williamsburg Bridge near Broadway, so we cautiously approached the Brooklyn film set where Russell Crowe is shooting American Gangster. Skittish producers told us we were welcome to shoot photos, but not to get too close to the anger-challenged movie star: “Give him space”, they said.

They were simply following a successful formula: apparently Crowe’s been in a good mood while filming, and producers have been keeping the paparazzi at bay, and everyone’s happy.

And what do you know: Crowe was amiable, and he even flashed us the peace sign.
