New York, July 12, 2006 – After learning to swordfight for the Kill Bill movies, Uma Thurman has now mastered flying for her latest, My Super Ex-Girlfriend, in which she plays a superhero. “The flying is fun, even in the most brutally uncomfortable corset that just cuts the circulation off your entire lower body”, Thurman said at the premiere. However, even a superhero couldn’t explain her outfit, consisting of a denim Lee jacket over an aggressively multi-green-hued Etro gown. Reporter: “Tell me about your look tonight.” Uma: “Well, that’s all there is to it, really. It’s just a look.” [Laughs]. Anyway, Thurman was glowing, and it wasn’t just the sheen of sweat that covered everybody standing under that tent on West 23rd Street while the driving rainstorms drenched the red carpet. Uma’s Kill Bill director Quentin Tarantino showed up to check out her new moves, and Owen Wilson came to see his brother, Luke, get Thurman’s superhero beat down in the movie. The Office’s Rainn Wilson made it impossible to keep track of Wilsons, and Hayden Christensen sithed and Fran Drescher honked. |
