New York, June 22, 2006 – Entertainment Weekly did it up big at its annual “Must List” party, featuring a performance by Christina Aguilera. The other hot songbird of the moment, Nelly Furtado, had everyone so entranced – and flashbulbs popping – that The Sopranos’ Steve Schirripa went virtually unnoticed as he followed her down the red carpet. “I have a better ass than Nelly Furtado”, Schirripa quipped, and turned and shook it for us. His daughters, Bria and Ciara, were duly mortified. Robert Downey, Jr. got there late, around 11 PM, and told the screaming paparazzi to calm down. “This isn’t my first party.” Downey arrived via taxi, solo, and said that his wife, producer Susan Levin, was over in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, shooting a movie. (Nice place to be late at night.) Among the showbiz types who turned out at Buddha Bar to catch Xtina’s set were Terrence Howard, S. Epatha Merkerson, Chris Evans, cooking queen Rachael Ray, Sam Rockwell and Vanessa Carlton. Tony award-winning actress Christine Ebersole wore a dress she got at H&M. Psst - If you missed the EW party, MollyGood videotaped Aguilera's set.
