New York, April 21, 2006 – The current issue of Visionaire, the magazine you really don’t want to leave on the subway since it costs $175, comes with an 18-karat gold charm from Van Cleef & Arpels outside, and 25 “lenticular” cards by people like Sofia Coppola, Pedro Almodovar and Karl Lagerfeld on the inside. The new issue is titled “Visionaire 48 Magic” and the Visionaire-ists celebrated Friday night at their SoHo gallery, where you can see the works if your copy got lost in the mail. The party ended at 10 P.M., and quickly turned into an after-party as the hipper-than-thou guests kept arriving on into the night. We were stunned when Cher came with actor Dean Winters, most recently seen on the TV series Rescue Me, and younger than Cher by a couple of decades. They seemed awfully cozy, but Winters would only say that they’re “really, really good friends”. Cher did not say much to anyone, and she kept the knit cap on the whole evening. Lindsay Lohan also showed up unannounced, and flitted around mingling with the artsy types like a born downtowner. This was more Chloe Sevigny’s crowd, and she brought fashion designer Kai Kuhne – the As Four defector (ejectee?) – who designed her outfit that same day.
