New York, April 25, 2006 – It looked as if Rosie
and Kelli O’Donnell's gay family cruise had put
into port in New York at the Broadway opening of Lestat, the
musical based on novelist Anne Rice’s homoerotic
Vampire Chronicles, with songs by Elton John and Bernie
Taupin. Sir Elton brought his spouse, David Furnish.
(British etiquette experts – what’s David’s title?)
Queen of the damned Rice was with her openly gay novelist son, Christopher
Rice. Honorary gay man Eric McCormack, the Will
& Grace star, took in the opening night, and singer Jewel’s
boyfriend, Ty Murray, wasn’t just wearing Brokeback
Mountain drag with that cowboy hat; he’s a real-life rodeo
star.
