Los Angeles, March 2, 2006 – Wow, is Vanity Fair launching an African edition? That’s what we wondered when we heard about VF’s “Amped for Africa” party, hosted by gorgeous, glossy-friendly, South African movie star Charlize Theron. But actually, VF tossed this exclusive, invitation only pre-Oscar event as a sort of launch for Theron’s African Outreach Project, which benefits Oprah’s Angel Network, which is a partnership with the Entertainment Industry Foundation. (Let’s just call it a charity, OK?) On to the important stuff. Jeremy Piven did not exhibit any visible injuries from his break dancing escapade a couple of days ago. Ludacris, Heidi Klum, Matthew Perry, Rosanna Arquette and Macy Gray were among those at Republic for the party and a performance by Mary J. Blige. |
