New York, March 28, 2006 – It was a Latina love fest at Cipriani
Wall Street on Tuesday, when Thalia stopped by to catch
Daisy Fuentes introduce a concert performance by Gloria
Estefan. And all the chitchat pre-show on the red carpet was
en Espanol! Well, most of it. Emilio Estefan told us,
in English, that they were excited to be invited to do the concert, a
benefit for the American Foundation for AIDS Research, because it’s
an urgent cause. “It’s only a small thing that we can do to
help people”. He wouldn’t divulge the program before the concert,
but gave us a hint of what his wife would sing that evening: “A
lot of Latin stuff, I can tell you. They’re going to be jumping
on their seats.” Gloria is following up her first children’s
book with a sequel, due out in October. “It’s done, and I’m
thrilled. I’m happy how it turned out”, she told us.
