Los Angeles, Feb. 26, 2006 – We’ve been so busy this week trying to find Britney Spears in New Orleans and watching Jeremy Piven shake it, that we haven’t gotten around to telling you about the totally awesome premiere of Aquamarine. It stars 14-year-old Emma Roberts, who has that same giant toothy smile as her aunt, Julia Roberts. Pop star JoJo is making her big screen debut, and we can’t imagine why it’s taken her this long to make the leap. She’s been in show business, like, forever - she’s almost sixteen. The producers cast Sara Paxton as the mermaid, Aquamarine, so she gets to wear that fishtail thing and sit around a lot, which is good because people so old – Sara’s almost 18 – can’t be on their feet for too long. Anyway, at first we felt like nerds when rock royal Frances Bean Cobain showed up at the deep-sea themed premiere. But she was stuck with her mom, Courtney Love. Totally uncool.
