Los Angeles, Feb. 21, 2006 – Maybe she just wasn’t feeling fabulous yet, maybe she didn’t like whoever was already on the red carpet, or maybe she saw a ghost – we’ll never know – but something told Tyra Banks that this wasn’t the perfect moment to make her grand entrance at the premiere of Madea’s Family Reunion. Tyra expressed this feeling from the seat of her limo by grabbing the car door that a security guard had opened for her and slamming it shut. The nice gentleman offered Ms. Banks the choice of either getting out of her car, or circling the block, since there were six cars idling behind her. She relented, and pro that she is, Tyra emerged into the glare of the flashbulbs and proceeded to pose up a Zoolander-style storm. Tyra’s sixth sense kicked in again when she dropped her purse on the floor; she shot a You’re-going-to-pick-up-my-purse-because-if-I-bend-over-they’re-going-to-photograph-my-butt (which is totally true) look at some nearby people, who got the message and retrieved the bag. Sharing the spotlight with Tyra at the ArcLight Cinemas were Madea writer/director Tyler Perry, who plays the title role of a grandmother, and stars Lynn Whitfield, Cicely Tyson, Blair Underwood and Tangi Miller. |
