Los Angeles, Feb. 8, 2006 – It’s hard to believe that Kanye West took home only three Grammy Awards on Wednesday, considering his long, illustrious, career spanning two albums, plus the fact that, according to Kanye, he is the best at everything. But truly, these are the kinds of surprises that make award shows so thrilling. Bono tried to soothe West’s ego, telling him “Kanye, you’re next”, while accepting U2’a album of the year trophy. It must be expensive when Kanye loses his gloves, since he wears gold rings on top of them. Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani only recently announced that they’re expecting, but boy, is she getting big. Could it be Harajuku twins in the oven? And that was Nicole Kidman sitting front and center with Grammy winner Keith Urban. American Idol alum Kelly Clarkson made a huge leap forward with two Grammy wins, adding prominence to that TV show, several of whose past winners are rapidly fading into obscurity. Christina Milian got starstruck when she encountered Jay-Z. Everyone was struck by Teri Hatcher’s see-through dress. |
