Los Angeles, Feb. 13, 2006 – If you were dreading the nauseating sweetness of Valentine’s Day, Monday night’s Date Movie premiere was for you. The movie spoofs the romantic comedy genre, ala Scary Movie, and in that classy vein, guests carried blowup dolls with them to the premiere. In fact, some of the scriptwriters worked on Scary Movie, and those guys know a good thing when they see it, so they cast Scary queen Carmen Electra in Date Movie. She reaches new acting heights; truly, we see no limits to Ms. Electra’s range. But that’s nothing compared to American Pie and Buffy vet Alyson Hannigan, who clumsily walks a mile in Gwyneth Shallow Hal Paltrow’s fat suit. Sadly, the movie opens on Friday, Feb. 17th, too late for a Valentine's date.
