Newark, NJ Jan. 11, 2006 – If we had only weeks left to live, we probably wouldn’t spend them in Newark, New Jersey, but then, no one asked us. Rather than premiere Last Holiday in New York City, Queen Latiifah decided to give the folks across the river a shot of Hollywood glamour with a big red carpet to-do. And, not often exposed to such glitzy doings, the fans soaked it up – literally and figuratively – standing for hours in the pouring rain, and shrieking appropriately when the stars came by. Paramount Pictures made this rainy adventure happen by bussing us journalists over from the Big Apple.
