Los Angeles, Jan. 25, 2006 – We’re surprised that the studio
didn’t push Big Momma’s House 2 into theaters during
2005, in time for Oscar consideration. Oh well, there’s always 2006.
The Hollywood premiere was dominated not by Big Momma himself,
Martin Lawrence, but by the gaggle of fifty actors decked
out in Momma-style housedresses and wigs. Gender flexing comedian Andy
Dick is not in the film, but he was right at home, goofing around
and even throwing one of the Momma dresses on over his clothes and donning
a wig for a few minutes. We asked Zachary Levi, an actor
in the movie who was crazily running back and forth, what he was on. “Heroin”,
he replied. Then amended, “No, no. That’ll bring you down.
Trident White”.
