Los Angeles, Jan. 12, 2006 – In between all of the award show hysteria this week, Billy Crystal snuck into L.A., opening his Tony Award-winning one-man show 700 Sundays for a limited run at the Wilshire Theater in Beverly Hills. The play broke box office records on Broadway, and Crystal has taken it to other U.S. cities on the way west. In fact, the show, based on his life, has kept him so busy and emotionally involved that Crystal turned down an offer to host the Oscars on March 5, because of it. Anjelica Huston, Sally Field, Jay Leno, Danny DeVito, Bob Saget, Bonnie Hunt and Angie Harmon grabbed the chance to see Crystal in action on opening night. |
