New York, December 13, 2005 – It’s not quite having a Hermes bag named for you, but after thirty years of marriage, a high-flying legal career, eight years as first lady, and becoming a senate insider, Hillary Clinton has finally had Marc Jacobs design a T-shirt for her.

On Tuesday night we stumbled onto a fundraiser for Senator Clinton, hosted by Friends of Hillary. Her husband, former President Bill Clinton, gave a rather long speech, during which he mentioned that for their 30th anniversary recently, he bought Hillary a painting that cost more than their first house did. Then he introduced his wife, who gave her own long speech. We weren’t paying too much attention because we had our minds on more critical issues, like deciding which color combo we wanted the Marc Jacobs T-shirt in.
